Team Inferno in the End of Friendship..? (Preview)

 In the residence of Regis the Furfrou and Elinor the Liepard, home of Team Inferno, as well as the current shelter of Bellatrix the Fennekin and Kuro the Poochyena, who had come to stay overnight, Alexis the Growlithe is putting on her vest.

 “I’m going out now, Regis!” Alexis called. “See you later!”

 “Already?” Regis asked. “Aren’t ye going to have lunch first, lass?”

 “I’m not even that hungry! Just leave it in the fridge for me! I’ll eat it later!”

 Now that was a complete lie. Regis knew that Alexis would never eat leftovers. She always liked to eat her food right after it was cooked. If she ever told someone to leave it in the fridge, he knew something was wrong…and he already knew why.

 Daniel.

 For the past 3 days now, he had been acting very distant lately, and the root of the problem was his younger fraternal twin brother, Wallace. For some reason, Daniel had a deep-seated hatred for the other Vulpix, and according to him, it seemed that their mother favored Wallace over Daniel, something the latter did not take well. Ever since, he went from his usual timid, tentative nature to a brooding, quick-tempered vulpine, something that upset his friends greatly.

 Alexis decided to take it upon herself to find a way to get Daniel back to his old self, and fast, and she decided that the best way to start was to the Researcher’s Guild Library, where Wallace is working as a bookkeeper.

 As Alexis left her room, where Bellatrix still lies curled up, napping on her bed, Kuro, who was snoring on the couch earlier, spotted her leave.

 “Oi,” the sleepy, one-eyed Poochyena said. “Where you going?”

 “Out,” Alexis answered. “Wanna come?”

 Kuro yawned and stretched his legs before he jumped down from the couch and padded over to her.

 “Better than staying in here, all day,” he quipped as he followed her out. “While we’re out, maybe we should borrow one of those brail books for Bellatrix.”

 “Yeah, I guess,” Alexis answered.

 “…You’re still pretty upset about Daniel, huh?” Kuro asked, earning a nod of the head from the canine.

 “I just don’t understand why Danny hates his brother so much,” Alexis said.

 “Sometimes, you don’t know someone as well as you might think they do,” said Kuro. “That’s actually happened to me, once or twice.”

 “Still…I need to get the bottom of this,” Alexis said as she and Kuro headed outside. “I just…I just want my best friend back.”
